Osteopaths undergo five years of university where they learn to diagnose, assess and treat a wide range of medical conditions ranging from postural problems, neck and back pain to pregnancy difficulties and pain to sports injuries to treating pain in children and also the elderly.

They are government recognised primary healthcare practitioners who have been trained to competently carryout medical examinations of the cardiorespiratory and nervous system and most importantly can identify which conditions need referral to medical doctors.

They use a wide range of hands on techniques including massage, joint mobilisation, joint manipulation, and contraction/relax stretching.
